Monkey Quest

Chat and Forums

As a parent you can set your child's chat and forum settings in the Parent Control Center. Monkey Quest offers 2 ways to chat:

  • Standard Chat: This chat option allows users to type their own messages. These messages are filtered to prevent the appearance of abusive language and personal information on our site.
  • Easy Chat: This chat option offers a pre-set list of approved words or scripts.

24-Hour Monitoring and Support

All communication areas of Monkey Quest are monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by our trained monitoring team using an advanced monitoring system and software.

Users are encouraged to report other players who make them feel unsafe or are offensive in some way.

  • Players can either click on a monkey or click on the "Friends" icon in Monkey Quest which is on the left side of the screen and follow the steps to report a fellow monkey.

Inappropriate conduct that violates our Terms of Use puts that account at risk of being banned.

When a child ventures onto the Internet, there are certain rules that will make his/her experience safer. We encourage you to talk about internet safety with your child. Here are a few rules that may help:

  • Never give out personal information, including your real name, address, phone number, email address, IM, or school.
  • Never share your password with anyone, except your parents.
  • If someone does or says anything online to make you feel uncomfortable, tell your parent/guardian right away and report it.
  • Be courteous online and do not write anything that you would not say in-person. Be critical about what you type and share.
